Memories of X-MAS 2024

In
this post, I’m going to share memories of my Christmas 2024.
Do you believe in
Christmas presents? Do you receive your Christmas present?
Yes, I received my
Christmas present that I prayed to the Mother Mary in a nearby Church. I was
waiting for the right time to write about it later, but the happiness
associated with it didn’t last long, and there’s nothing to share about it
unfortunately.
I met with some of my
acquaintances a week before Christmas, at a Christmas dinner, as I wouldn’t be in the Netherlands to celebrate it. I had a great time with them,
interacting, spending time with the little munchkin, and savoring the awesome
delicacy. They became my Secret Santa with a surprise gift!
I planned to visit my
Family winter of 2024, who live in India. I was so grateful to be able to
celebrate Christmas with them, after a lot of years!

This could’ve been my
first Christmas in the Netherlands, which I wanted to witness, but the chance
to spend it with family was above all, which made me so happy!
I got a chance to visit
the Christmas market set up in the city center a few weeks before Christmas.
There were a lot of stalls in which different Dutch delicacies were sold. This
resembled many of those of the fairs in India which were organized during
different festivals like Dusshera or Diwali.
At one point, I found
people gathering in a circle in which a few Dutch young men clad in traditional
attire, holding candles, were singing songs in Chorus. There was an orchestra
to accompany them. I couldn’t understand even a bit of what they sang, but as a
music enthusiast, I enjoyed the music and synchronicity of the instruments with
the voices of the singers. I was so lost in the moment that I didn’t feel like
taking any pictures then.

It felt like Christmas even
before many months from December, with the entire city decorated in colorful
lights and Christmas trees decorated everywhere. One could find gifts being
kept near the Christmas trees.
