#412 A lesson learned

                                 A LESSON LEARNED

Once upon a time, a master went to the bank of a river to meditate. He was followed by his disciples. He positioned himself in the yoga mudra to observe the flow of the river minutely. It continued from minutes to hours and dawn arrived. But he was silent and focused. Few of his disciples became perplexed but they were hesitant to ask him out. One of his disciples asked him politely " Guruji, when are we going to dive into the river? What are you waiting for?"

To this replied, "Let the flow of the river stop, then we will dive."

Disciples could not decipher the meaning of this statement. They kept on looking at each other in a confused manner.

Out of doubt, one of the disciples asked, "How can this be possible ever? Can the river stop flowing? It's just impossible."

Guruji smiled and answered all the queries wittily.

"This is the lesson of today. Our life is synonymous with the river. It never stops at any cost. Now, it is up to you, whether you want to proceed in your life or stop at one of the junctures by being dishearted and demotivated due to the obstacles that you face. Similarly, the waves of the river depict happy and sad moments and keep on reforming. These waves never halt. If you are undergoing a bad phase, then don't stop because these too shall pass. Everyone encounters bad phases in their life. The difference is the ability to handle the situation. Some find it easier to navigate the bad phase because they are full of optimism and positive vibes. They are able to find the silver lines beneath the clouds. They find the stars shining bright in the darkest time. You are essentially not the waves of river rather than the water of river that keeps on flowing consistently regardless of the ups and down.

So, remember my words carefully, when you experience the dawn of your life, never give up. Always keep in mind that, this too shall pass soon."
