I have always been attracted to libraries as they house myriad ideologies in those trillions of pages bound together to give rise to tangible forms. As soon as I enter it, I wonder how different my life would be if I am not only able to absorb those printed words but also to live each one of them. Even an entire lifetime will be insufficient to devour that food (from such libraries let alone that of Infy's) stimulating energetic thoughts for the brain.

I feel privileged and lucky to be here at this moment, right now, surrounded by uncountable books as if they're shouting out loud to read them. Reading not only provides me ideas, and ways to express myself but also somehow fulfills one of my deepest desires of connecting with the legends when I can only possibly dream of meeting them in my lifetime. By reading, I invariably become a part of those books. What else can appease the heart of a voracious reader other than the sight of his food;books!

This piece of writing has been influenced by one such book entitled "The Assassin's Cloak" which is an anthology of the world's greatest diarists. It has encouraged me to reconsider one of my fondest habits of mine; writing a diary. I regret not continuing it at this place but again I can't accuse anyone behind discontinuing it. What gives pleasure to one's soul must, at any cost, under any circumstances, be carried out.

Sadly, I miss my diary. Nothing can replace the experience of writing over those pages, even though this digitized world has tried to concentrate almost every activity to the tip of fingers over smart screens, enhancing the probability of accomplishing any task to almost cent percent, the importance of the existence of stuff in the pre-smart-phone era can never ever be neglected.

Reading entries of others has the power of generating empathy for them as it enables the process of connecting to some of the deepest feelings of the writer which are completely raw; unmanipulated.

#374 Book Review: Bound to Love

Bound to Love

Edited by: Sai Seekers
Genre: Non-fiction
Format: PDF
File Size: 25436KB
Star: 4.7/5 (Self)
Published by: Saipatham Publication

Review: It’s a non-fiction book based on the experiences of devotees of Sainathuni Sarath Babuji who had been a great devotee of Shridi Sai Baba. Sainathuni Sarath Babuji has been thought as the incarnation of Sai Baba himself as his birthday coincidentally overlaps on the 36th anniversary of Samadhi of Sai Baba, 7th October 1954. This book opens up with the introduction of Sai Baba followed by Sainathuni Sarath Babuji and the reason behind bringing up this book.

It has been segregated into 13 chapters which encompass the experiences of several devotees which makes its reading even more interesting. There are several pictures of Babuji well arranged between the chapters streamlines the organization of the chapters. One can also find the discussion of Babuji with his devotees in dialogue format as well as stories from the epic “Shri Sai Satcharitra”.

My experience:  I came across this book as recommended by one of the devotees of Sai Baba from the blog shirdisaibabaexperiences. Ever since I was introduced to the above blog by my sister, I’ve never ever forgot to miss reading experiences even for a single day. Gradually it has become a regular affair of mine since last 6 months and it has definitely changed my life for good. This has instilled and reinforced my faith in divine power and helps me to keep going through difficult phases of my life with a greater confidence and spirit. I can never ever forget the role of this site in helping me to sail through some rough patches of my life. Many thanks to the people behind this site who are working tirelessly to maintain it!

Now, I feel more peaceful and in control of my thoughts and emotions. Needless to say that I’ve found my Guru in Sarath Babuji and the Sadguru in Sai Baba. This venture of mine in the path of spirituality seems to be providing a sense of security in this world full of insecurity. It has come to me as a solace and a destination for my ever wandering soul. Hoping to explore more in this field of spirituality and religion. I’m glad to have picked it up as the first book of this year and finish reading it. I will certainly recommend this book to every devotee of Sai Baba and I guarantee you that you will feel more drawn to him as you flip over every single page of this book.

#373 6 years down and forever to go!

Image result for 6 years anniversary

6 years down and forever to go! Oh! Yes, hardly can I ever imagine this blog to be turning 6 years, it feels like our baby turning 6 years whom both of us(I and Sweta) nurtured with utmost love and care. It’s a life time experience (and not to forget, each moment is a life time experience because of its transient passage). So, the celebration has to be great for obvious reasons and the show must go on!

In these 6 years, we’ve secured two educational degrees along with a load of opportunities in different fields ranging from writing, singing, coding, travelling, cooking, learning languages; all of these have added a lot to our personalities by refining it day by day. Life; no matter how easy it might seem, yet it sometimes proves to be the most strict teacher by revealing its wicked side too! After all major portion of it is gray in colour, if we try to look at it at a deeper perspective. Amidst several activities, achievements, ups and downs, I always keep questioning about the purpose of my life, at the end of each day.

I’m always thankful to the beautiful souls whom I came across in my journey , even when I might not reciprocate my gratitude towards them but deep down in my heart whenever I recalled any of my happy moments , it was always because of them.

Even though my association with this blog has become an erratic one quite lately yet whenever I recall about the memory of that day when I published my first post, never had I realized that it would reach at this stage. That’s why I say more often to myself, especially when things don’t seem to be turning out the way I’ve imagined that, Dreams do come true! Yes, they do! This blog is a result of that simple wish of my heart.

I would just like to remind my readers to enjoy every moment of life as it comes because every moment is unique and can’t be compared to other. Once it is gone, it is gone for the life time! Hoping to come up with more valuable posts in days to come, if any of our posts influences even a single reader, then the purpose of this blog is well served. So, stay connected because this journey with this blog is going to be unexpectedly exciting.

Signing off from now!
Stay tuned, Readers!

#371 That old painting

That old painting
Painting by Sweta featured in school Magazine

It was during year 2008 and students were asked to submit paintings to be featured as the cover page of the school magazine. The students thought it to be an idea influenced from the movie Taare Zamin Par which received a huge positive response during those days. I and my sister submitted scanned pictures of some of our paintings. We always loved to experiment during school days and our association with painting could be traced back to primary days. Painting was one of such hobbies that provided us utmost satisfaction and inner peace, not to forget it was one of the medium to engage the monkey of my mind. Oh! Yeah readers, there always dwelt a monkey in my mind which was restless, needless to mention its characteristics more. It had to be engaged in some meaningful activities all the time or else it used to get sad! Poor fellow! That’s when I realized I can never stay without hobbies in my life.

Coming back to the story again, one of my sister’s paintings got selected to be featured as the cover page of the magazine. It was during the period of social studies as I vividly remember, other non-selected scanned copies of the paintings were returned to the students. Before those copies of paintings could reach us, those were in the hands of social studies teacher, Sandhya Ma’am. She is a teacher who had been a great source of motivation and inspiration for both of us during our school days at Kendriya Vidyalaya. I always admired her simplified way of teaching which eased the burden of learning the voluminous subject like social studies which comprised of history, political science, geography, disaster management, economics etc. She was an example to me and still she is for the personality she possesses and the positive vibes that she always emanated. The very title of the subject would produce drops of sweat in the foreheads of the students out of anxiety to conquer it. I remember how Ma’am who never let anyone to be with books during Games period.

Sandhya Ma’am always appreciated our efforts which encouraged us to put our best. She enquired if she could keep those copies of paintings with her to which we readily agreed.

Fast forward to 11th Mar 2019,

As I have been searching for a topic to write since last many days (I was lil sad about the dormancy of the blog), fortunately this incident provided me one!

Even though I have come along a long way from my school days, evolved over the years through various situations and circumstances that the destiny has put me into, yet I never forget to feel grateful about my teachers who have been integral parts of my golden school days. They have been instrumental in shaping me who I’m today. Days passed and I did not get chance to meet with my teachers (for the reason of staying away from the place of primary education for many years) the connection with them somewhat turned out to be hazy. I’ve been connected to Sandhya Ma’am since last two years. While going through the paintings of her daughter in the page (created by Ma’am) where she consistently posted her achievements, I could do nothing but marvel at the creations of just 6-year-old-child prodigy named Navya. It would certainly not take more minutes for someone to easily make a prediction about the future of her which is going to be miraculously bright.  I was overwhelmed with emotions of those bygone days when I got to see that painting which Ma’am had preserved over so many years! What a touching gesture! I've never ever expected someone to have preserved something over 10 years even after losing contact let alone any teacher. I was so much moved to the extent that I had to confine my expression through this post.

That old painting unleashed uncountable memories from past. We never know how little incidents can trigger to something great that we could have ever imagined. Being able to share something from the memory lane, be with your friend or teacher is something inexplicable as your journey to the memory lane is accompanied with someone you’ve known.

This post is dedicated to all teachers like Sandhya Ma’am who spend every ounce of their effort for the upliftment of students. We shall always be grateful to you for your guidance, love, care and support. Keep blessing us always!

P.S: It’s that old painting (by my sister,Sweta) in the post that I got from Sandhya Ma’am which was featured in the school Magazine.
