#589 The man whom I admire the most

The man whom I admire the most

The image has been generated by the Author using GROK

The man whom I admire the most,
He’s none other than my Dad,
And haven’t found anyone so wise,
To match his kindness and wisdom.

The man who believed in me,
Cheered me up when no one did
And made me the person I am today,
Dad, I feel blessed by your presence.

The man who worked hard,
Day and night without complaining,
Dad showed up every single day,
Even when it was raining.

The man who poured
A lot of confidence in me,
And always made sure that I
Took the chances when I feared.

Dad made me feel safe,
Addressed all my concerns,
Gave me the strength to fight
For my rights and values.

The man who treated me like
The best girl on this planet,
He made sure that my needs
Was always met on time.

I think of Dad when I feel
Trapped at the crossroads of my life,
Wouldn’t have dared to walk along
The road less travelled.

He can foresee what I might not
See in a thousand years,
His advice saved me from
Uncountable pitfalls on my way.

I pray for Dad's long life,
A life filled with divine light,
Transcending earthly beliefs
By transforming a million lives.

Like the fragrance from flowers,
Planted on the most fertile soil,
May his wisdom reach far and wide,
By touching a million lives.

#581 With you, without you

With you, without you

With you, without you,

Life moves on

It waits for none

You promised to

be my soulmate

With passage of time

Forgot all the promises

Words were fake

So, were the actions

Meant only for palpitations

Those adrenaline rush

Was temporary,

Unlike my feelings

Which I saw flushed

Into the words of lie

Hidden truths beneath

The quilt of lies

Which difficult to decode.

Living together for seven births

Was not even for a decade

Clashed into like ashes.

Was I too innocent

Or were you too sharp

And I sometimes ask

To my heart

Whether to love someone

Or give you another chance

To rectify your deeds

Perhaps, you never

Seemed to care the way

I poured love

From my heart.

May be it was

A Karmic relation

For few moments

To set me free

From the debt of

My previous birth.

#579 KNOCKING gently on healing's door

Knocking gently on heeling’s door

Source: BlogChatter

It was one such day today,
My body felt heavier than usual,
Stuck to the bed as if lifeless,
When the alarm rang.

My morning starts at 6am,
That’s when I leave my bed,
To kickstart my day with,
Completing preplanned lessons.

But today was different,
Even though I was wide awake,
When the alarm rang but just
Laid still, staring at the roof.

I was blank and numb,
A flood of tears came rolling down,
No, I wasn’t emotional or
Overwhelmed by any thoughts.

Generally, I’m a happy woman,
Always stay engaged as much as I can,
With many hobbies that have filled up
My soul more than anyone ever can.

I neither pushed myself to be normal,
Nor tried to investigate the reasons,
All I knew was that I wasn’t emotional
Just waited for that flood to calm down.

I am alone in the moment, inside
A four-walled room, not looking for
Anyone to comfort me in any form,
Writing this poetry as its outcome.

I understand that my soul wants to cleanse,
Getting rid of suppressed emotions,
I just have to be kind and forgiving,
To listen to the unanswered expressions.

Now, that the tears have dried and
Letting my fingers what they wanted to type,
I am regaining the former me ;
Not at once but slowly and steadily.

#561 NIGHT sky & a shooting star

Night Sky and a Shooting Star

Source: BlogChatter

I saw a shooting star
I closed my eyes and prayed hard,
To get back what I lost,
The grief of which just can’t be told,
Fireflies are like stars on ground,
Bright, tiny, or round?

Immersing myself in a love
That I had never felt before,
How blessed my life seemed to be,
Just a few days before,
They say, “It’s a divine plan.”
I wish I could at least ban(it).

The hope that the night sky gave
Like a million memories to save
Moments are like stars on mind,
They come and go when they can
All I imagined was a parallel Universe,
Happy feelings but with tears.

A Universe where I can enter,
To witness everything happening
At the time, when it couldn’t
Happen in the world I live in
Soaked up in the aura of gratitude,
I chose my present, to continue.

If you can read between these lines,
You’re so empathetic
‘Cause that might not seem so easy,
As it’s so cryptic in reality,
Could the reason for my grief be unveiled?
or something that others can feel?

I saw a shooting star,
I closed my eyes and dreamed hard,
Just met him in my dream, whom I lost
Sharing moments of immense love
That heals my heart a bit more,
The closure that I was looking for.

#555 Oh! My little LEMON

Oh! My Little Lemon

Source: BlogChatter

Oh! My little Lemon
My bundle of joy,
You brought a lot of happiness,
And moments to rejoice.

Little fingers, little toes,
Skin so delicate; a gift from God
You were a little wonder,
Spreading love and light forever.

You looked exactly like what
I had envisioned, so cute,
All your facial features
Resembled your loving father.

You were so innocent,
To ever trouble me,
You made me feel what love is,
And what silent mischiefs.

My heart will always be grateful,
For your divine presence in my life,
Like an angel, how easily you
Brought smiles to faces you never met.

I wonder how a tiny human,
Like you can bring changes,
That might take years to reflect,
That’s what you did so effortlessly.

My life hasn’t been the same,
After you left, as the sun sets,
All I am left with is an inexplicable
Grief that gets difficult to bear.

I am in a process of healing;
Healing physically and emotionally,
By taking baby steps,
One day at a time.

I will bless you every day,
For every single day that I live,
By holding you close to my heart,
You shall always be my Little Lemon,
The most precious gift from God.

#554 ANSWERS that my heart searches for

ANSWERS that my heart searches for

Source: BlogChatter

Answers that my heart searches for,

To the questions that have stemmed up,

From circumstances so adverse,

Still keeping me in the mode of denial.

I don’t believe what happened,

But I have no choice but to accept,

I couldn’t find out why it happened,

The way it should never have.

Everything looked so perfect because,

I made sure it was with the preparations,

I couldn’t have been happier,

As I was about to embrace something grand.

Life’s unpredictable, no doubt,

It snatches away everything from you,

When you seem to be so close,

To what you’ve aimed to manifest.

My heart searches for answers, sometimes

Praying before God or making a frantic search,

On various websites or posting those

Questions in the veil of anonymity.

Some days are easy, while

Other days are simply so hard,

This process of healing that I’m into

It isn’t just straightforward.

As the day passes, the grief eases

The answers that could’ve given closures,

Can’t be seen anywhere anymore,

But the questions haven’t faded into oblivion.

#545 Perfection is a myth

 Perfection is a myth

Image Source : Generated by GROK 2.0

This post is a part of Blogchatter Half Marathon 2024.

They said, “You’ve to be perfect in everything”

While I replied, “Perfection is a myth”,

It’s a myth that generates fear and

Would never let you get started.

The fear of failure paralyzes them,

Who run before the idea of being perfect,

Or creating a fake image just to

Hide their insecurities so well!

The one trying to improve,

Is the one who is bound to fail,

For failures don’t define him,

When they push him towards the goal.

Failures are like stepping stones

To success for them who are

Willing to take risks and don’t

Afraid to fail repeatedly.

I don’t believe in what they say,

I will choose the thorny path,

Fail many times but not lose faith,

Perfection is just a myth.

I just want to get started,

Fail as many times as it takes,

To reach that finish line and

Bask in the glory of success.

#544 That never-ending wait

 That never-ending wait

Image Source : Generated by GROK2.0

This post is a part of Blogchatter Half Marathon 2024.

You wait for something,

Never knowing when it will end,

When your waiting period is brief,

Result makes you elated.

You wait for something,

Never knowing when it will end,

You’re visualizing of its end,

That makes you ecstatic.

You wait for something,

Never knowing when it will end,

Still hopeful that something

Will turn out to be favorable.

You wait for something,

Never knowing when it will end,

Like the dark clouds in the sky,

Just about to bring rain.

You wait for something,

Never knowing when it will end,

Those dark clouds are dispelled away,

And sun rays make their way.

You wait for something,

Never knowing when it will end,

Assuring yourself that when it ends,

It will be the best part.

You wait for something,

Never knowing when it will end,

Sometimes questioning your faith,

And your mind surrenders to high powers.

You wait for something,

Never knowing when it will end,

Universe rewards you with bonus,

For waiting with patience and hope!

Now you look back at the journey,

And connect the dots to realize,

Waiting was just a process to test your patience,

And the journey never looked the same.

P.S: Through this poem , I've tried to portray various stages of wait and how a human mind navigates through it. Sometimes, it assures that everything will be fine when this waiting period gets over , while sometimes our self-doubts seem to get multiplied. We must remember waiting is a process designed by the Universe to test our patience and when it is over, we're able to find the missing pieces of that big puzzle called life.
