#553 12 years of blogging and sharing my stories

12 years of blogging and sharing my stories

Source : Generated by the author using GROK

The month of March holds a lot of significance in my life. As the title suggests, this is the day I started publishing my articles/poems 12 years ago, and I am still doing the same. I also celebrated my marriage anniversary at the beginning of this month. Something unfortunate happened a week after our anniversary, and it will be etched in my heart forever.

I always looked forward to this day every year and would schedule a post in advance, but all these things didn’t seem to excite me this year. I’m grieving from personal loss and recovering from it; both physically and emotionally. Life has a different way of surprising us, and not all surprises are always pleasant, and we can do nothing about it making you wonder how life can be so cruel when you’ve always tried to do what’s right.

12 years is a long time; that’s more than twice my years of marriage. A lot happened in those 12 years; mostly good events but also some unexpectedly unfortunate events too and in all these years, I realized how unpredictable results in life could be! There’s a higher power that controls the outcome; reminding us to be more grateful when things go all right because those things could’ve gone wrong too.

This blog always gave me a reason to celebrate each day. It became my online diary; something that’s there to treasure my written words without any judgment. I don’t care about readership now. This blog has always been so special to me as it never made me worry about the presence of a special someone to make me feel special. Writing my heart out without the feeling of being judged is the best feeling that I can ever experience.

As I write this post, I am writing with a sense of stoicism, I am neither trying to reflect too much on years of my literary journey, life, or anything particular nor forcing myself too much to feel those emotions that I used to have every year when I wrote bloganniversary post. This time, it’s different and it need not have to be the same every year. I must accept it.

I don’t know what inspiration I can offer to my readers through this post, at this moment, but I can guarantee you to get inspired by our previous posts which we wrote with a lot of energy, enthusiasm, and optimism. Even I will try to get back to those posts to motivate myself to get back to my old form and make this process of healing a little bit easier.

#498 About myself

 About Myself

Design : Canva

Hello Everyone,

I hope that you are enjoying the spring/summer like I am.

I have decided to start my #BlogChatterA2Z 2024 challenge by introducing and sharing something about myself. What could be a better alphabet than ‘A’ to accomplish this challenge? I am writing this post on April 1st,2024 in the evening time in one of the northern parts of the globe, Espoo, Finland while the walnut banana oat cake is getting baked in the oven so that I will be able to reward myself with a healthy version of a sweet delight, once I am done posting this article.

I have a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in Power Electronics from SGSITS, Indore, M.P. and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from IGIT, Sarang, Odisha. I was born in Bhubaneswar, Odisha where I completed some parts of primary education before moving to Kanpur(where my father worked) where I studied till 12th. Growing up inside the campus of an All-India-level institution in Kanpur, which provided me with a multicultural and safe environment, lent a huge impact on my childhood. I shall always be grateful to my father for taking that difficult decision to move away from his comfort zone for our future. I have a twin sister with whom I share a deep bond. By God’s grace, we got the chance to be each other’s shadow till our graduation after which our paths diverged.

Having studied and worked at different places in India like Kanpur, Sarang, Hyderabad, Indore, Mysuru, and Bengaluru made me very adaptable to different cultures. Later, I got to live and work in different places abroad like Hong Kong and Finland. Living in Finland made other countries in Europe like Sweden, Estonia, and Italy accessible to me. So, I have visited Tallinn (Estonia), Stockholm (Sweden), and Milan(Italy).

I have always been so interested in Mathematics and choosing Electrical Engineering was one of the reasons for that. Apart from academics, I invested much of my time and efforts in various hobbies like reading, writing, singing, learning Sanskrit Shlokas, languages, and painting right from my school days. I learned to enjoy my company in different cities or circumstances because of those hobbies that never left me alone. I have had a fair share of failures in my life, but I have stories of achievements too. When I reflect on my life, having recently entered the third decade of my existence, I am not disturbed by any regret, but rather satisfied with the chances that I took to build my career amidst unfavorable conditions. My forever companion, this blog, has been my biggest support for the last 11 years.

What I learned from different phases of my life is not to make plans because when they don’t happen, that brings disappointment. I am trying to live and enjoy my present. I am not making plans for the future anymore, I am trying to capture every present moment and live to the fullest.

#419 Revisiting year 2020

Revisiting the year 2020

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are doing well. You may be engaged in the process of bidding adieu to the year which is going to slip out of our hands in the next 3-4 hours.  It has been a customary practice for me to reflect on all the moments which I lived in the year and express my gratitude to it before it fades away. So, through this post, I feel so excited to walk down my memory lane.

This year made me believe in the power of the Law of attraction and manifestation of intentions. The first month of the year promised me to establish a lifetime relationship with someone I had come across then. There was a family reunion to celebrate our engagement. Then followed Valentine’s week which had always been an ordinary week for me except this time, it had a meaning. There was a joyous phase of preparation for the D-day of my life. I trusted my intuition to invite someone I had come across a few months ago, in my life. I let myself go with the flow of the process that the Universe had designed for me and finally the D-day arrived for us to depart from the home I had been a part of and to take responsibilities of the family I was very warmly accepted as.

Then it was the conspiracy of Universe to let me quarantine with my partner to know him better. I learned to cook and be more responsible for dispatching my duties of day-to-day life. The phase of lockdown was never easy but it had definitely provided me enough time to be with my permanent roommate. During this phase, I tried to create beautiful memories to cherish for the rest of my life. The phase of lockdown had definitely slowed down this fast-paced life and enabled all of us including the nature to bloom in our own way, away from the unknown rat-race we had been into. I started following the activities that provided me internal happiness. It included singing, painting, writing, reading, learning different programming languages, revisiting my bucket list and striking off a few points from that, and developing some healthy habits. I completed watching all movies from my movie list which had been pending since time immemorial. I participated in some of the virtual competitions and garnered appreciation for my performance.  I was successful in getting an international test score.

I realized how important it is to live in the present moment as the future is uncertain and it is promised to none. The importance of health cannot be ignored; I realized it until I fell sick twice and the fear of getting infected COVID started haunting me. The reunion with family after a long period was literally emotional. I am so grateful to God for letting me meet one of my dear friends.

The most important thing to feel grateful for during pandemic days is that I am healthy and safe and so are my family and friends. I wish that this trying and challenging the phase will pass off soon when we all will be getting back to the normal state of life when we will be able to breathe in fresh air devoid of this deadly virus.

No doubt, this New Year’s Eve is different from all other years and all of us are locked up in our rooms, practicing social isolation, many of us are away from our family and friends but amidst all difficulties, let us hope for a bright future which is about to embrace our lives.

So, wishing you all a very happy new year! May this year 2021, fill your life with abundance in all spheres.

#349 5th bloganniversary

5th Bloganniversary

Happy Birthday to one of the fondest things that I possess.

This blog turns out to be 6 years old today after successfully completing 5 years of its existence; 30th Mar 2018; a remarkable day for us ; me and my sister. Both of us have taken a great care in nurturing it the best possible way. This, with time, became the platform for us to voice our thoughts. Over these years, we’ve not only witnessed it evolving but also observed a great change in our perceptions towards almost everything in life. That’s the positive impact that writing has brought to us. Thoughts and emotions are best expressed in the way they are written.

We’ve been successful enough in winning various competitions in both the platforms; online and offline in the journey of six years. This helped us to create a little recognition in this vast world of blogging in which we were toddlers once. We are indebted to the readers for sharing various encouraging comments for our writing and appreciating this quality, which in turn, has always boosted up our confidence to write from the core of our hearts. Really, nothing feels greater than writing down thoughts and emotions in pristine form. The keyboard of my laptop has never seemed friendlier to me before this journey of blogging. Needless to say this journey of blogging has provided us countless opportunities to contemplate within ourselves and surrounding. It’s journey worth to remember for lifetime!

Last but not the least, a heartfelt thanks to our readers for support and encouragement, which have acted as rays of sunlight for the growth of this blog.
Hoping to come up with even more soul stirring and heart touching experiences and write ups in days to come, till then keep enjoying life.
